Tahisha Mayfield is a systems-focused project manager with deep expertise and understanding in how teams, processes and technology synergize to accomplish goals and meet social needs. Tahisha brings to Mason more than 20 years of experience and leadership supporting the Intelligence Community in ITIL- and Agile-friendly environments. Her previous roles included: Web and Software Development, Independent Verification & Validation, IT Governance, Portfolio, Program & Project Management, Process Analysis & Development, Instructing Teams in ITIL/IT Service Management Processes and Roles, Agile Scrum Master, and Organizational Liaison.

Tahisha currently serves as an IT Project Manager in George Mason University’s Portfolio & Project Management Office. Her responsibilities include managing university-wide strategic and operational infrastructure projects, redesign and implementation of Mason’s IT Project Management Framework, streamlining and standardizing portfolio and governance processes and providing liaison, process model and IT consultation support to key programmatic University initiatives.

Ms. Mayfield holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems & Decision Sciences from George Mason University and a M.S. in Management Information Systems from American University. Her spare time is spent on her paddleboard, biking, swimming, doing yoga or supporting environmental and community resilience initiatives.
