Virginia Commonwealth University
IT Support Center Training & Development Lead
Richmond, Virginia Area
I began my career with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in August 2012 as an Instructional Assistant with the School of World Studies – taking a career advancement opportunity with Technology Services in December 2013. Throughout my tenure at VCU I have had the privilege of working side-by-side with some of the most extraordinary innovators in the field of academic technology. Currently, I am a full-time graduate student at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. studying for a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies – I attended a theology school for two years in Denver, Colorado – and is a VCU alum with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. This being said – I do not have much time for hobbies. But, when I am not studying, working, volunteering, or spending time with my 5-year-old son, I enjoy gardening (succulents are a favorite), walking, reading, playing video games (on my son’s switch), binge watching favorites on Netflix or Hulu, getting lost for hours in a museum, and visiting local farmers markets on the weekend.
