In 2016 Virginia Tech released its first official process, the Major IT Service Issue Process. This process documents how the Division of IT and IT Support at Virginia Tech address Major IT Service outages. The process focuses on communication within the Division of IT, to customers, and to end users of IT services at Virginia Tech. Join us to discuss the challenges, successes, and continuing opportunities we have faced implementing a documented workflow for handling major outages and disruptions of core production services at Virginia Tech.
