The 20 Critical Controls developed by the Center for Internet Security provide an operational bridge between higher level security standards such as ISO 27002, NIST 800-53 and actual implementation of the items defined in these standards. The controls are proven steps that address 75-80% of successful attacks at present. This talk explains what each control does and provide examples on performing a gap analysis to determine what needs to be done.
